Atuação acadêmica e profissional das docentes dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Contábeis no Brasil

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the profile of the teachers of the Postgraduate programs in accounting sciences of Brazil (PPGCC). This is a descriptive survey with a qualitative approach. 28 PPGCC were mapped in Brazil, which are distributed in the following way: Seven in the northeast, 13 in the southeast, seven in the south and one in the midwest. In this initial survey, the teachers linked to the PPGCC were identified. Then, by means of the lattes platform, data on the following aspects were collected: academic profile of teachers; professional performance and academic production. In analyzing the profile of the teachers of the PPGCCs of Brazil, the data revealed that the majority of the teachers held their degree in public IES and that a little more than half have formation in Accounting Sciences. Although teachers are in the academic master's and academic master's programs, the professionals do not have their careers, significant representation in administrative managerial positions: Head of department and pro-rector. Having great representation as a coordinator of the undergraduate, denoting an act focused on the attendance to the students. In this way, it is concluded that the interaction existing in the "habitus" of the PPGCC is shaped in the conceptions of historical transcendents, which being universally shared, impose on each faculty, the process of male domination.
