Trânsitos de vozes e memórias: dimensões sociais, patrimoniais e institucionais das tradições culturais do Cariri Cearense

Abstract

It discusses the free development of culture and the preservation of memory in the face of the processes of inequality and social exclusion, from the masters of culture and of the Cariri of Ceará. In order to do so, it reflects on this issue, aiming to diagnose the situation of the cultural traditions of the Cariri of Ceará, considering the socioeconomic and institutional dimensions that permeate its safeguard. As specific objectives, the research unfolds in explaining the life situation of the masters of the culture and jokers identifying its influence in the preservation of the cultural memory in the Cariri of Ceará; Cartograph the actions developed in the local institutional scope to foment and safeguard the cultural traditions; and finally, to use the critical theoretical instrument of Information Science for the reflection about the memory, in its dynamics, representations and actions of preservation in the scope of the Cariri of Ceará. It performs the study through semi-structured interviews, configured in the methodological tool of Oral History, as well as using the support of the documental analysis technique, to assist in the identification of the social and institutional meanings that surround the oral traditions. It identifies that the actions developed autonomously by the masters and students, overlap the absences of public management, keeping alive in the communities, their cultural manifestations. As well as highlighting the multiple possibilities of studies and practical applications within the framework of the IC, with regard to cultural traditions and the safeguarding of intangible assets.
