Práticas arquivísticas como estratégias de organização de prontuários médicos: um estudo na Unidade de Saúde da Família Agua Fria da cidade de João Pessoa

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze the organization and functioning of the archive records of Unity Family Health “Água Fria” in city of João Pessoa – PB, and to suggest proposals for its organization areas of knowledge, Information is needed to support decision-making in various areas of knowledge, health among them. Thus, this study presents the theoretical background for Family Health Strategy, its purpose and competence, as well as for improving records in support of the health care teams. The methodology utilized the technique of non-participant observation. From the data obtained, file problems were found in the categories: furniture, filing method, access and human resources. From this observation, the proposal was made to the organization of the archives, indicating adjustment of furniture and purchase of missing materials, adoption of standardized method of filing records and qualification of responsible professionals in archival techniques.
