As dificuldades enfrentadas na alfabetização de jovens e adultos

Abstract

The present research had as main objective to analyze the difficulties faced in the literacy of young people and adults, identifying the causes of the main difficulties of reading and writing and the contributions of the teacher in the classroom in the process of teaching and learning. The observation was made in the period of October and November of 2017 in the Escola Municipal de Ensino Infantil e Fundamental Cassiano Ribeiro Coutinho, located in the city of Sapé, Paraíba. In this study, we adopted as main guiding theoreticians: Arroyo (2005); Piaget (1997); Marx (1991); Freire (1997); Gadotti (2008); Oliveira (2007), among others. The methodology adopted in the study was the field research with quantitative-qualitative approach through the elaboration and application of a questionnaire with the teacher and interview with the students. Thus, through the answers obtained and the observations made during the visits, we draw a dialogue between the lines and identify that this form of education needs changes, lacks innovative attitudes that seek to experience, understanding the students closely and their difficulties, with emphasis on the knowledge they bring to the classroom.
