Juvenilização na educação de jovens e adultos: a escola da “segunda chance”

Abstract

The present work constitutes a case study, where the locus of the research was at the EMEFFM, located in the city of João Pessoa - PB. The main focus is the discussion about the youthization process of the EJA, considering that this has been an important aspect of this educational modality since the 90s, as well as the need for social inclusion of these young people in this type of education, occurring appropriate manner, with regard to their entry and stay. For that, we define the following objectives: to reflect on the juvenile process of the EJA; to identify the reasons that led the young people to seek the EJA and to analyze the singularities that occurred in the pedagogical practices of the stage. It is identified as a qualitative / quantitative research and the subjects interviewed were some young people aged 18 - 24, EJA students, in the evening and the justification for the development of this research started during the experiences lived in said school, in the disciplines of Supervised Internship IV and V, in the EJA modality. We conclude that the significant presence of young people, mostly adolescent, results from a shift from regular education to the EJA modality. It is true that these young people face various difficulties on a daily basis, and that they seek to acquire through the studies the possibility of entering the labor market.
