| Abstract: | The impacto of global competition has caused companies to dedicate their time to people management strategies to differentiate themselves from their competitors. In a scenario where employee performance is a determinant fator of competitive advantage the strategies applied to people management are gaining more space. Thus, this study focused in training and development (T&D) practices in order to identify useful, effective and economically viable to the sales sector needs of the company All Clean located in Joao Pessoa from the methodological perspective as proposed by Marras (2011). Through case study methodology, mixed-mode questionnaires were applied to vendors and diretor as well as unsystematic observations in the company. All questionnaires were responded. After analysis, it was possible to identify the manager’s disposition to invest in training programs since they present financial viability and attractive benefits with the goal of increasing sales volume. Thereunto, a training program proposal was developed in order to achieve this goal. |
