Fanfiction: Uma prática de letramento nos meios digitais.

Abstract

In an increasingly technological world that requires fast and active participation of the subjects, especially, with regard to online connection, the genre fanfiction has become a famous option of entertainment and communication between fans. Well, it opportunizes the "re" writing of his favorite stories from the infinite possibilities that the original work offers having in its favor the worldwide network of Internet. Therefore, we had as main objective to understand what motivations lead to the fans to read and write fanfictions and the impact of these productions for the life of these individuals. For this, we use as theoretical basis Soares (1999; 2010), Vargas (2005; 2015), Jenkis (2013), Candido (1989) and Cosson (2011) among other authors. As a methodological procedure, we developed and applied a total of 12 questionnaires to active writers / readers of two official fanfictions sites. From this we analyze the responses to whether or not the writing and reading of fanfictions can be included as a meaningful and positive social practice in the lives of these people.
