| Resumo: | O objetivo desta monografia é analisar a relação demonstrada por Ribeiro (2012) entre o enfoque atual do Brasil para a defesa do Atlântico Sul e o pensamento geopolítico brasileiro sobre o mar. Segundo o autor, a abordagem estratégica sobre o Atlântico Sul como região importante para os interesses do Brasil relaciona-se com os estudos anteriores de intelectuais importantes do país, especificamente dos geopolíticos. Por tanto, busca-se situar os subsídios teóricos da Política de Defesa Nacional para o Mar, através da análise do conceito estratégico de Amazônia Azul, na tradição Geopolítica brasileira voltada para a vertente marítima, com a análise das obras dos principais geopolíticos do século XX. O presente trabalho objetiva responder a seguinte pergunta de pesquisa: o conceito estratégico de "Amazônia Azul" demonstra-se em continuidade ou em ruptura com a vertente marítima do pensamento geopolítico brasileiro? A metodologia utilizada é de cunho qualitativo, bibliográfico e documental, baseada na literatura sobre o pensamento geopolítico brasileiro marítimo e documentos sobre o conceito estratégico de Amazônia Azul. Como conclusão, tem-se que o conceito estratégico de Amazônia Azul apresenta-se em continuidade com o pensamento geopolítico brasileiro, especificamente aproximando-se com os estudos de Meira Mattos nos anos 1970. |
| Abstract: | This monograph's objective is to analyze the link demonstrated by Ribeiro (2012) between the current focus of Brazil to defend the South Atlantic and the brazilian geopolitical thought about the sea. According to the author, the South Atlantic' strategic as a important region to Brazil's interests is related to previous studies of this country's leading intellectuals, specifically geopolitical thinkers. Therefore, it seeks to situate the theoretical support of the Sea's National Defense Policy, through the review about the strategic concept of "Amazônia Azul", in the Brazilian Geopolitical tradition about the sea, with the analysis of the works of the main geopolitical thinkers in the twentieth century. This paper aims to answer the following research question: the strategic concept of "Amazônia Azul" shows continuity or rupture with the Brazilian maritime geopolitical thinking? The used methodology was qualitative, bibliographic and documentary nature, based on the literature about Brazilian geopolitical and documents about the strategic concept of "Amazônia Azul". In conclusion, the strategic concept of "Amazônia Azul" comes in continuity with the Brazilian geopolitical thinking, specifically regarding the studies of Meira Mattos in the 1970s. |
