Interconexões das práticas documentais entre a Biblioteconomia e a Arquivologia

Abstract

This research has studied the relations between Library and Archivology on the aspects of the Thematic and Descriptive Representation of Information, with the general objective of describing the documentary practices of Librarianship and Archivology from their interrelationships. In this same direction, the following specific objectives were outlined: To characterize the areas of Librarianship and Archives, as well as their possible relations and to identify the common documentary practices between Librarianship and Archivology. Methodologically the research is theoretical-descriptive and bibliographical, with a qualitative approach. As for the media, it is characterized as documentary and reflexive research. We conclude the light of the studies of Librarianship and of Archivology that the documentary treatment of both has interconnections, asto the documentary languages used; but as for the documentary typology they are differentiated, since the first deals with the document as a collection, and the second as the background and oneness.
