Turismo sustentável: ações e políticas públicas aplicadas no estado da Paraíba

Abstract

This article aims to raise discussions on development and sustainable tourism, dealing with its concepts and practical applications in society, as well as a reflection on the sustainability and sustainable tourism. In this context, it aimed to 2 present some definitions about the subject and reflect on the need to plan efforts to ensure sustainable tourism, but also show the importance of conserving nature present in the state of Paraiba and show some actions taken in the city Joao Pessoa by PRODETUR NE - I. The work is divided into three steps where the first is sustainability since its inception to the present day. The second comes from sustainable tourism in this same context, and the third addresses the specific form the contributions of PRODETUR NE - I for the development of tourism in Paraiba. The term sustainability is very present in the speeches, but the reality that presents itself is quite different from that. The urbanization of cities happens quickly and without any planning. There is also a difficulty in following impacts to the environment, and by this fact, sustainable tourism needs to be planned. So, this is necessary for increasing discussion that society recognizes the need for plans and goals for conservation of our environment.
