A escola e a socialização na infância

Abstract

The present study aims to analyze the importance of the school for the socialization of the individual. Was made a study in the municipal school of elementary and primary education Lúcia de Fátima Xavier, after a theoretical basis, with broad concepts to which we had as background the following authors; Aries (1981), Elias (1994), Durkheim (1978) among others. Next, the empirical research was carried out, with students from the 3rd year of base primary education with an age of 8 and 9, obtaining some results, drawings were made with the students, so that it was transmitted in the drawing that most attracted them in the school, which more like to do, and also small interviews (conversations) with some students. It has been seen that the family has its importance, but the school also has great weight, and is responsible for much of the education of the individual, since the child in the school happens to live with other children of other cultures, other behaviors, and this goes helping the child, from the school, to have a better coexistence, a better socialization with the individuals in all the social and familiar environments, of great help for the conviviality in society.
