Aplicabilidade do desenho universal para a aprendizagem: percepção de professores e considerações da literatura

Abstract

The present work, entitled “The applicability of Universal Design for Learning: perceptions of teachers and considerations of literature” started from the reflection on the possibility of attending all students in their specificities and thinking about the way they learn. Its general objective is: analyze, from the literature and the teachers' perception, the applicability of Universal Design for the Learning in schools. In this sense, a bibliographic study was prepared with the clipping between 2015 and 2020, to understand if there are indications of experiences regarding the application of the concept, in order to understand whether it is possible to apply it or not, as well as semi-structured interviews were carried out with four teachers from four schools, two public and two private in the municipality of Bayeux, in an attempt to understand if the practices that teachers already have give some indication that it is possible to apply the concept, as well as to perceive through the answers if they (a) agreed with the main concept points or not. The results found in the bibliographic research point out that the practices carried out were punctual actions, most with positive results, in this sense, the sources point out that there is the possibility of applying the concept. When it came to the interview, the teachers agreed with most of the principles that were asked, some of them disagreed with the possibility of motivating all students. A positive point was that some of the practices reported in the interview were related to stimulating the different areas of the brain, which is not yet a practice based on Universal Design for Learning, but it does indicate that it is possible to do so.
