CONSTRUÇÃO DA IDENTIDADE EM MULHERES ADOLESCENTES E JOVENS PERIFÉRICAS: UMA REVISÃO LITERÁRIA

Abstract

The present work consists of a literature review about the construction of female identity in adolescent and young women from periphery, with the specific objectives of investigation about gender issues, characteristics of the period of adolescence and youth, the place where they live and the social conditions that they are submitted as elements that form the identity of these women. The research was carried out through the digital platforms Scielo, Lilacs and Google academic, looking for articles that deal with the theme in dialogue with the elements mentioned above. The content analysis of the studies comes close to the critical comparative analysis, followed by the reading of the chosen texts seeking to identify each segment of data and to compare with the constructs and concepts used by the constructed analysis categories such as identity, youth, gender and periphery. The results showed that the peripheral young women build their identity through traditional gender roles such as being a wife, housewife and mother, experienced together with determinants of the adolescence and youth phase and the material conditions disposed by the territory they reside in. The adolescent/youth from the periphery differs from those who live in other spaces once subjected to socio-spatial segregation from the capitalist system that structures social inequalities.
