O PSYTRANCE COMO EXPRESSÃO CULTURAL GLOBAL

Abstract

This research aims to highlight the cultural elements that surround Psytrance, and how they promote a space of sociocultural integration, departing from the understanding of the cultural concept, passing on to the historical motivations that conceived the countercultural movement, to finally point to the depth of Psytrance as a culture. The methodology used consisted in bibliographic research supported by a field research in form of moderate participant observation. The identification of empathic and militant ethics, the therapeutic influence in dance and music and values of respect, tolerance and acceptance of the differences would emphasize the awareness-raising character of this culture. It provides, then, keys to ways to express themselves from a point of personal identification in an autonomous way, thanks to the existence of a diffuse and multicultural space.
