CONTRIBUIÇÕES DAS INTERVENÇÕES COM HOMENS AUTORES DE VIOLÊNCIA (HAV) NO ENFRENTAMENTO A VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A MULHER

Abstract

As well, the implementation of the Maria da Penha Law, action strategies and prevention of violence against women are necessary and urgent in view of the high incidence rates. This article presents an investigation with the general objective of analyzing the contributions provided by interventions with Men who are Authors of Violence (HAV) in facing domestic and family violence against women. The specific objectives were to point out relational aspects between society, violence and gender; identify and analyze psychosocial interventions aimed at HAV; discuss their contributions in combating domestic and family violence against women. It was carried out through a basic strategic research, with a descriptive and exploratory objective, a qualitative approach, carried out through bibliographic survey. Given this, it appears that legal initiatives are fundamental to curb violence, however, instruments that confront other dimensions of this problem are a crucial complement. Studies have shown a positive effect of interventions with HAV on strategies to confront domestic violence and against women, however, there is a lack of consistent methodological studies and debates in the area.
