Rede Intersetorial de Enfrentamento ao Abuso Sexual Infantojuvenil: Uma Revisão da Literatura

Abstract

Sexual abuse is any event in which a child or adolescent is used for the purpose of sexual stimulation of an adult or an older child or adolescent. It can affect the cognitive, affective, and social development of the victims, therefore being considered a public health issue. The actions addressing cases of sexual abuse are carried out in a Network, which is considered a matrix ofrelationships and interactions that are established with a purpose and are interconnected through lines of action or joint work. This paper aims not only to analyze how the Network is structured, how it functions, and how it is evaluated, but also to differentiate, in the literature, between notification and report. These objectives are materialized through a bibliographic survey about sexual abuse and the intersectoral coping network using the Scielo.Org portal. The keywords "Abuso Sexual" and "Rede", as well as "Sexual Abuse" and "Network" were used, in a timeframe between 2009 and 2019. Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 14 articles were analyzed, thirteen in Portuguese and one in English, having those organized in categories to guide the reading. The findings show that the Network is theoretically well structured, having different areas of action to guarantee the protection of children and adolescents, with elements for functioning; yet disjointed and disconnected, crawling at elementary levels. The data lead to the understanding that the Intersectoral Network needs to be further explored, ensuring an increase in the protection dedicated to childhood and adolescence.
