Difusão cultural no arquivo Afonso Pereira: o teatro do estudante da paraíba e sua construção expográfica

Abstract

The private and personal archive Afonso Pereira, founded in October 1998, is located in the Jaguaribe neighborhood of João Pessoa. It has inestimable value in the constitution of collective memory and cultural identity for its commitment to keep and disseminate documents that recorded the development of culture and education in Paraíba of the last century. Reference to Archivology for its rare documentary collection, to which it is preserved and preserved, and for its work of cultural diffusion and educational actions in the community of Paraíba. The study aims to present the use of expography as an institutional strategy inherent to archival practices. The research was characterized as a case study because it has a defined environment, the aforementioned Archive. It is sustained as a qualitative research in function of the interpretative sense elicited by the studied phenomenon, configuring itself exploratory, making accessible what is still little known. The result of this research demonstrates the pertinence of pedagogical-cultural actions, such as the planning of expographic projects, for cultural dissemination in the archival universe. It is concluded that through actions of cultural diffusion, the archive is perceived as a social space communicational, making it possible to know or evoke practices of the community in which it lives and, with that, to collaborate for the constant construction of social identity.
