Fontes de informação indígena: análise da sua presença no periódico Biblos

Abstract

The sources of indigenous information favor the registration and Access to knowledge of indigenous peoples, their traditions, culture, religions and the way of these peoples. The jounal is configured as main vehicle for scientific communication, especially due to the speed which it disseminates the results of research carrisd out by scientists in different areas of knoeledge. The general objective of the research is to analyze the production on indigenous information in the periodical Biblos. It is configured as exploratory and descriptive research and the type of approach used is quanti-qualitative. The methodology adopter included a bibliographic survey, which covered several types of sources, such as: books, articles and academic journals, theses and dissertations, standards, etc. to compose the literature review and, in addition, it made it possible to carry out a historical of the studied journal. Also, a bibliometric analysis of the sources of indigenous information present in the periodical Biblos was carried out. For data analysis, statistical techniques and Content Analysis were used to obtain systematic and objective procedures for describing publications. The results of the research made it possible to identify the production of indigenous information in the Biblos and the authors who publish about this theme in the referred periodical. As well as, it showed low production on the indigenous theme published over the periodical’s 41 years of existence. It is concluded that, in relation to other themes, the production of contents that focus on indigenous information is still incipient in Information Science.
