Abstract

Dissemination of religious information is the act of spreading, spreading or disseminating information about a certain group, called religious. The present work had the general objective: to investigate the librarian's performance in the libraries of the Escola and Faculdade Internacional Cidade Viva, in the city of João Pessoa-PB, in relation to the sources of information, the dissemination of religious information and the management of conformity. To this end, the sources of information used at the School and at the International Faculty of Cidade Viva were identified, analyzing the process of disseminating religious information from the information units and the librarian, discussing its performance in the management of information in the school and university library. in Cidade Viva. Methodologically, it consists of a qualitative research with an exploratory level. The same made use of the semi-structured interview technique to identify the perception of social actors about the performance of the library and the librarian of this information regime in a context of dissemination of religious information. As a result, it was evidenced through studies and vision of the social actors of the school and college. It was observed that yes, the library and the librarian fulfill the role of disseminating information in a context of Christian worldview, in this way it was found the dissemination of Christian information in the library, with the contents of informational materials consistent with the view that institution professes and on the part of the librarian who is the conducting agent of these contents and the way he conducts his office in front of his colleagues and users. The result of the interview pointed out that the social actors of the international school and college Cidade Viva recognize the importance of the role of the library and the librarian as being an agent in this educational process. It was found through the interview and through its projects, that the library excels in the role of school library, functioning as a center of educational resources, both with regard to encouraging reading, as well as in its innovation and dissemination projects. of Christian information. So also the attached library of the faculty fulfills its role of offering support to the development of teaching programs and to the conduct of research, providing rooms and books organized and updated and the support of a professional trained in the area of Library Science.
