O salário do bibliotecário na rede pública do município de João Pessoa: tecendo os fios da realidade

Abstract

Its objective is to find out the value of the salary of the librarian in the public network of the city of João Pessoa from research through public consultation based on the Law on Access to Information (LAI) on the city's transparency portal called Citizen Information Service ( SIC) and analyze the contrast relationship of the two subtitles of previous works: The first of the research report by Carvalho and Cruz (2014) in the Biblionline journal on the expanding labor market due to law 12.244/2010 and the other in the work of conclusion of the course by Andrade Cunha (2018) that cut the real situation of 26 schools in the city of the 89 mentioned in this research report. The subtitles contrast with each other despite talking about the same theme that is the school library and the law 12,244/2010 leading to the questioning about the current reality of the phenomenon and why the salary of school librarians is low. It uses the concept of comparative librarianship based on quotes from Shores, Collings, Foskett, Miranda, Figueiredo and Simsovae Mackee to address specific needs, finding similarities in differences and differences in similarities. It compares the value found in the survey with other municipalities in the country based on public notices for competition between 2017 and 2021, while discussing the regulation of the librarian profession and the concept of minimum wage in the country. The work is an exploratory research with a qualitative and quantitative approach based on bibliographic and documentary research.
