Por uma representação da informação e do conhecimento segundo Schopenhauer

Abstract

Representation involves the relation between an object or state of thing and its meaning, symbolized by a sign or its whole. Thus, as far as information science is concerned, the discussion is based on the representation of information, which establishes the perception about the conceptual (meaning of the term) and terminological (the form that this concept assumes, which can be expressed in Signs and symbols) attributed to the complex process of categorization and description. Developing a doctorate around the authorship in cordel, deepened questions as to the peculiarity of the physical description about the leaflets in the light of Information Science. The technical part concerning the representation of string information is in the thesis. The philosophical narrative is outlined presenting Schopenhauer's contributions to the notion of representation. In this article, the objective was to present the format that the representation assumes in the perspective of Schopenhauerean philosophy and its possible implications to the Information Science. The methodological perspective was qualitative in character, characterized by the argumentative approach of a philosophical nature. The research has documentary and bibliographic link bias, establishing the connections and dissimilarities of the selected discourses in the composition of this article for the reinforcement of the arguments in the act of writing. Among the contributions of the philosopher on canvas for the area, two approaches were drawn: the approximation between the procedures of translation of languages and those of indexation relative to Information Science and the perspective of establishing the fertile theoretical links of the representation of information and representation of knowledge The scientificity of the said area. In the rich production of Brazilian popular literature, in particular the cord, its links were established with the representation of information and knowledge. Guided by a philosophical intuition, having such a document of theoretical contribution, it was related to the contributions of Schopenhauer to the Information Science in the aspects of the representation of information and knowledge.
