Dorival Caymmi: vida, obra, pensamento e acervo em uma temporalidade do verde e amarelo

Abstract

It will be presented the Dorival Caymmi’s archives, a source of information and research with the possibility not only to understand a society through personal documents, with its own elements, as well as the construction of socio-cultural and artistic trajectory of the owner of the archives under study. This work deals with the organization and representation of information and knowledge, focusing on the digital archives of the Institute Antonio Carlos Jobim, with the purpose of analyzing the personal documentation of Dorival Caymmi, from theoretical reflection of modern archival science in the context of information and communication technologies. This research analyzes the digital platform, DSpace, with signage regarding the need for participation of the archivist in the process of organization and description of documents there deposited. The mentioned software serves a specific need, such as digital file system, in the long-term storage, access and preservation of documental content items. The analysis of the composer-poet archives, Dorival Caymmi, artist and immortal, allowed aware of its rich biographical value, reaffirming it as a legacy to the Bahian and Brazilian culture. The work developed here will treat a theoretical and conceptual review of personnel archives, in studies related to the processing of documents produced and accumulated by an individual.
