OS CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS SEGUNDO A EXPERIÊNCIA DE ASSISTENTES SOCIAIS: uma análise a partir da produção científica da área

Abstract

This research has as its central theme Palliative Care according to the experience of Social Workers: an analysis based on the scientific production in the area. According to the World Health Organization - WHO (2002), “Palliative Care consists of assistance provided by a multidisciplinary team, which aims to improve the quality of life of patients and their families, in the face of a life-threatening disease, through prevention and relief of suffering through early identification, impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other physical, social, psychological and spiritual symptoms”. The interest in researching this thematic theme was based on a lecture held at the University Hospital Lauro Wanderley - HULW, we carried out the Supervised Internship in Social Work ender considering that this theme is little relevant where not in this profession. We studied the experience teams of objective assistants inserted as in multiprofessional health social problems, in order to problematize the set of competences and attributions defined in this set. The same theoretical-methodological approach was the historical-dial materialism, for which it would allow us, its appearance to the essence of the phenomenon, through successive approximations to the phenomenon, considering the dimensions of the universality-particularity-singularity that involves it. The study was carried out through a literature review, with a qualitative approach, from March to May of the current year. The collection of source data such as google pages had as reference and periodicals the area of Social Service – Social Service and Health; Barbaroi; Science Magazine; Debate Society; Integrated Scientific and E-Magazine Facitec. Documents from the Federal Ministry of Research WHO - World Health Organization, the Health Service and Academia Palia - ANCP and the Federal Council of Health Care - CF will also serve as research. The results of the study pointed out: the need for more studies, and debates that deal with Social Work and its performance in Palliative Care for the appropriation of contents by the category and for a greater systematization of the practice in this scope; importance of the role of social workers in the multidisciplinary teams that work in this type of service; and the need to insert Care in the Parameters of Action of Social Workers in Health.
