A religião doméstica na Odisseia: símbolos da religião doméstica no reencontro de Odisseu com Telêmaco, Penélope e Laerte

Abstract

The present work is derived from the study of the domestic religion that had been inherited to the ancient greek through the Indo-European tribes. The corpus in which we focus is the epic of Homer, Odyssey, in order to analyze, in the course of the work, points inherent to the domestic religion so that, soon after, we reach our goal. In order to see this religion, we go through several bibliographical analyzes, aiding to and constructing our reasoning about the subject analyzed. Our analysis aims to point out symbols of the domestic religion in the reunion of the hero Odysseus with his son, Telemachus, his wife, Penelope, and finally his father, the elder Laerte, exposing to the reader an insight into religiosity in Homer and, especially, revealing the domestic religion within the narrative of the hero and his family, son, wife and father.
