Gestão de documento no arquivo do cartório do 4o serviço notarial de João Pessoa - PB

Abstract

The present paper presents the activities developed in extrajudicial notaries, specifically in the 4th Notary Service of João Pessoa, in which is verified that the organization of such documents is very complex, demanding the need for Document Management to define the ordination of this documentation. In relation to the studied Notary Service, the paper is aimed to show the performance of the professional archivist in the scope of a notary archive, highlighting the organizational methods and management tools, and identifying the existent document typologies. It is a descriptive research with exploratory character, in which an interview was done with notary João Ricardo Cavalcanti Travassos, in order to identify the importance of the works developed in the notary service, the services performed by the employees, the function of the documents that were found in the notary archive and what are his perspectives. Therefore, it is concluded that the notary service has a primordial role in the society and the produced documentation has great juridical and social relevance.
