Proposta de organização e gestão documental no arquivo da “Prefeitura Universitária” da UFPB

Abstract

The proposal of organization and document management in the Archive of the University Prefecture of UFPB includes the analysis of the documentary collection, the intermediate and permanent archive and the physical structure that assisted in the elaboration of archival diagnosis, observing the need for the practice of the life cycle of documents, according to the accumulated document mass and information generated by the institution. It was verified that the lack of archival criteria adopted in the collection provides flaws in the document recovery, resulting in problems for the administration of the agency. In this project of intervention in archival institutions or documentary sets, the superior determinations are adopted with regard to Law 8.159/91, which provides for the national policy of public and private archives. In this context, it was intended to organize, analyze, select and archive documents and information in order to solve the deficit of information retrieval, through the organization and management of the archive.
