Segurança e saúde do trabalho em arquivo: um estudo de caso de uso de epis pelos arquivistas da UFPB, UEPB e IFPB

Abstract

This work is the result of a qualitative inquiry that wove some considerations about the health and security in the work of the archivist. The choice of the subject is justified because in the present the life quality in the work is recognized like a social necessity and of health, and in case of the archivist, the performance of his functions takes place most times in unhealthy, unsuitable spaces, without the necessary higienização, without use of EPIs (Equipment of Individual Protection) and without observance of the regulating standards of the professional exercise. The data collection took place in the Federal University of the Butch woman (UFPB), State University of the Butch woman (UEPB) and in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFPB), having like aiming to analyse the real situation of health and security guard of the work survived by the archivists of the foregoing institutions of teaching. The considered results make possible to understand that some subject participants of the inquiry are attentive the application of the laws and to the use of the material of security, in spite of the difficulties faced in day by day in environment of work, produced by factors of extern and internal order. It was possible also to understand that there is the necessity of better investments in the area of the health and security of the work in these institutions with the objective to favor the quality of life of the professional archivists.
