Análise do livro didático de Educação Física Escolar do município de João Pessoa: limites e possibilidades

Abstract

The textbook has become of great importance for the pedagogical work of the teacher in the classroom. Thus, acquiring this material for school must be reflected so that the teacher and the student can make use of the textbook efficiently. Considering the deficit in the production of textbooks for Physical Education in Brazil, and especially in Paraíba, teachers from the municipal network of João Pessoa, together with teachers from the Federal University of Paraíba - who offered continuing education - produced a textbook of school physical education for elementary school, bringing propositions on how to deal with accumulated historical knowledge, aspects and concepts in physical education classes. However, despite the elaboration of this book, the City Hall did not use it, and the book was forgotten. Thus, the general objective of this study is to analyze the process of construction of the physical education textbook of the City Hall of João Pessoa and the reasons why the text was not officially applied in the teaching-learning process in public schools in the city of João Pessoa, PB. This study is composed of the introduction, the theoretical framework, subdivided into five topics, the methodology of the research, with a brief characterization of the instruments and analysis of the information, discussion of the data and finally the final considerations and bibliographic references that were used to deepen this theme. The methodology used was of a qualitative nature, using the documental and also bibliographical research method and a semi-structured interview questionnaire as a research instrument. It was found that the main reason for the non-inclusion of the book was political, due to the inattention of the public agencies responsible for its inclusion.
