Os afetos e o ensino-aprendizagem da matemática

Abstract

The present work had the general objective of analyzing how affection can increase or decrease the power of the subject and thus impact the teaching-learning of mathematics. For this, the following specific objectives were listed: to discuss how affective factors are part of the school environment and to discuss the importance of affective factors in the teaching-learning process of mathematics. The methods used in the research in relation to the research approach, is classified as qualitative. As to the objectives, the research is characterized as exploratory. Regarding the technical procedures, this research is characterized as bibliographical. Regarding the results, the importance of affective factors in the school environment is highlighted, besides discussing the sociocultural construction and the teaching of mathematics, and the relationship between mathematics education and affectivity. Given these contributions, it was possible to conclude that when more humane relationships and positive affections are established between all those involved in the educational process, the results can reflect in a better quality of learning and, above all, in a more joyful and meaningful experience for both students and teachers.
