Ética arquivística: estudo em uma empresa privada de material de construção

Abstract

The objective of this work is to understand the importance of the relevance of archival information ethics in a private company. This is an exploratory research, bibliographical and of a qualitative nature, developed in three moments: In the first, we searched in bibliographic, content inherent to the research theme. In the second, we listed seven (7) problems that could occur in a private company due to lack of ethics and we compared these problems with the ethical conduct of the company used as study object. In the third moment, an interview was conducted with the director of the company studied, using a questionnaire. Finally, the analysis of the collected data was carried out. With this, we could observe that the ethics of archival information plays a fundamental role in the context of a private company. The survey results revealed that the studied company does not have clear or well-established ethical policies and guidelines, despite being practiced by its employees. In addition, the perception of the importance of ethics in the organization was evidenced, both in terms of the company's survival in the face of market competitiveness and of maintaining a good organizational environment. Thus, it is concluded that the ethics of archival information is essential to guarantee the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information, as well as to promote an ethical organizational culture. The analyzed private company showed an interest in being more committed to ethics, highlighting the importance of its role in the proper management of documents.
