Curso de Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Federal da Paraíba: um estudo do perfil socioeconômico dos discentes antes e após o ingresso na UFPB

Abstract

The university usually causes changes in students' lives, to enter university they face several realities that tend to cause some changes in your social life. Thus, this study aimed to identify the socioeconomic of students from the Accounting Sciences from the Federal University of Paraiba profile. To meet the objectives outlined by the descriptive research methodology was used, given that the data were collected was analyzed and its description of the results, as regards the investigation was classified as a field research for using a questionnaire open and closed as well as for using bibliographic works, articles and other materials related to the object of study. After collecting and analyzing the results it was concluded that the profile of the student UFPB in 2014 is male, has between 18 and 30 years, is single, had backed his middle school in public school, your family income increased after entering university and had modified their social life, among the possibilities that arise with the University, claimed the emergence of new job opportunities. The student claims that improved their critical thinking, can better solve problems and conflicts, make better decisions and can work as a team. Over the course he believes that contributed significantly to improving their living conditions and that it met their expectations, even according to the respondents they have interest in working in some specific area, in the case study in auditing and is considered in the process knowledge training at the University.
