Informática e educação: processo para inclusão digital no vale do Mamanguape. O caso de Jacaraú - PB.

Abstract

The Informational Age installed a new modus operandi in almost every corner of the world. And in Jacaraú, situated in Mamanguape Valley in Paraíba could not be otherwise. The use of information process through the installation and use of new technologies can be perceived in different economic, cultural, institutional, educational and government segments, also together with the popular enterprises, homes and public spaces. The centrality of our topic is to investigate the presence of the Informational Age in Mamanguape Valley, taking as case study the phenomenon in the school environment in the municipality of Jacaraú - PB, in the period 2010-2013. To do so, shall be used the literature which refers to the phenomenon as Manuel Castell (1999) and others; the phenomenon through the educational field a habitus in individuals, the use of internet, and in that respect we do our anchor in Pierre Bourdieu (2000), Palhano Silva (2004); and in terms of learning, where man will dominate the reading of the world. We take readings of Paulo Freire and others. The Informational Age generated 'major transformations in its society structure', from the productive, political, legal, social and cultural base. During this trajectory we seek to answer several concerns: 1) What is the role of the Information Society? 2) How the Informational Age is presented in society? We seek to know the contributions to the lives of individuals brought by the Informational Age, as well especially to know how public schools of Jacaraú - PB are dealing with this phenomenon in this contemporaneity, since the role of being a space of formation has been allocated to school, aiming to the digital inclusion.
