Mudança institucional e o desenvolvimento sustentável: uma revisão sistemática de literatura

Abstract

This research aims to map and analyze the academic production on Institutional Change resulting from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through the Web of Science (WoS), Proquest, and Scielo databases, between 2008 and 2021. According to Cortell and Davis (2000), the impact of international standards inserted into domestic institutions goes through three areas: the discursive field of political agents, followed by changes in local institutions, and, finally, the formulation of public policies. This research highlights the second point, which looks at the sustainable development in the Institutional Change literature. Based on the PRISMA-Scr (Prisma for Scoping Reviews) Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, the bibliographic investigation takes place with pre-defined analysis variables, collection, and systematization protocols and, from this, fulfills the role of observing the state of the art in its breadth and, from this, building a diverse base to be explored in later studies. After collection, 36 articles were analyzed and arranged according to metrics such as year, methodology, primary and secondary theoretical orientation, sustainability/ODS dimension, and search markers used. The systematization provided an overview of research before (2008-2015) and after (2015-2021) the SDGs, as well as their multidisciplinary impact on international studies of institutions and their adaptive processes. As a result, there has been a predominance of civil agency in the processes of change towards Sustainable Development and the SDGs, although this remains restricted to the majority of institutions in the Global North in the production reviewed.
