Eu e a rainha do vale: de menino a rapazinho

Abstract

Autobiographies are always interesting to read, after all, each human trajectory has its own particularities and experiences. Actor and writer, Romualdo brings in his book “Eu e a Rainha do Vale – De Menino a Rapazinho” which focuses on his adventures as a teenager where he lived in the city of Itabaiana, during the 1970s, under the military regime. Twelve years summarized in 168 pages. This book completes the saga that began with “The Theater in the Land of Zé da Luz – From the Dramatic Union to GETI”, which was released in 2011. “Me and the Queen of the Valley” contains facts about the author, his youth, his time at school, as a frequenter of the famous Itabaiana fair, his leisure time and other everyday aspects of a city in the interior of Paraíba. His adolescence was completely different from today and he spent it between two social groups: the Catholic Church Youth Group and the Experimental Theater Group of Itabaiana, where he reveals that his conception of the world and his decisions for the future were made during this period. At the Experimental Theater Group of Itabaiana, he staged several shows, including: The Passion of the Christ; Lampião's Fight with the Devil; The ABC of Zé da Luz, the Poet of the People; Three Moments of the Theater of Paraíba; The Battalion of Shadows; 10 Years of GETI;

Lullaby on the Street;

The Final Banquet, among others.
