Análise léxico-semântica e etimológica da alimentação paraibana

Abstract

The Portuguese language in Brazil is the result of the synthesis of different cultures, especially the indigenous, African and European traditions. The mixture of traditions and cultures becomes noticeable in several areas, including in the lexicon. Assuming that from the lexicon can also know the history of a people and their cultural traditions in the spoken language, is that this work emerged from a research project, is proposed to highlight the influences indigenous, African and European cuisine in Paraibana through the collection and analysis of lexicography lexical units, corpus as the menus offered at regional restaurants in the city of João Pessoa, capital of Paraíba state. The results show that linguistic variety in the cuisine of the region is very rich, renewing itself every day showing diverse cultural traits and traditions very intertwined. The work is relevant because it provides the opportunity to understand the relationship between culture, language and society as inseparable and crucial to the understanding and recognition of local culture and linguistic state records. Serve as a theoretical basis for this study, the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Lexicology, Lexicography of, the Neology and Culture.
