Abstract

The gap in words, explored by Regina Lira in her new book, seeks the hollow space, the vacuum of meaning between words. It is the interval between silence and noise, between the minimum and the maximum, between the superfluous and the essential. Regina's poetry moves in this void, in this suffocating air between what does not exist and what does exist, between the illusory and the real. The poet teaches us to exist in the midst of these intertwined gaps, before us. She shows us that words resist, console us and measure us in their fantastic and imaginative world of images, mysteries, signs and enigmas.
