A relevância do ensino de língua inglesa na educação infantil: um estudo em uma escola do município de marcação/pb

Abstract

This work aims to understand the importance of teaching English in Early Childhood Education. The general objective of the research was to identify the relevance of teaching English in Early Childhood Education in a school in the city of Marcação/PB. The work is characterized by descriptive, qualitative and bibliographical research. The main documents/authors that supported the work were (BRASIL, 2018), (BRASIL, 2019) and (COLOMBO, CONSOLO, 2016). The research was carried out through interviews with four members of the education area of the municipality of Marcação/PB, being the Municipal Secretary of Education, the Pedagogical Coordinator, the School Manager and an English Language Teacher who teaches in Early Childhood Education. One of the main results obtained was that the teacher interviewed has a dialogic, explanatory, playful teaching methodology, and that, above all, her methodology is reflected in accordance with the reality of the students. The main conclusion of the article was the benefits brought to kindergarten students from learning the English language, one of which is that the student acquires the teaching of a new language more easily, bringing great advantages in their process. of learning.
