O EXISTIR LESBIANO EM MEIO À HETEROSSEXUALIDADE COMPULSÓRIA COMO EXPRESSÃO DA TENDÊNCIA ATUALIZANTE

Abstract

Heterosexuality is compulsorily imposed as it is considered natural and the norm. The figure of the man is established as the holder of power, in which he oppresses and violates woman. Therefore, people who establish themselves apart from this imposition have their existence invalidated and erased. Thus, lesbianism was for many years linked to pathology and criminality, considered “homossexualismo”. Even though it is a reality permeated by violence, lesbocide, and stigmatization, lesbians choose to exist and resist as such. Therefore, by conceiving the self-actualization as inherently linked to the organism, aiming at enrichment, by developing its intrinsic potential, and conservation, maintenance of the perception it has of itself. The present work has the following general objectives: to understand, according to the self-actualization, the emergence of lesbians in the context of compulsory heterosexuality and to identify the difficulties and potentialities of this existence. To achieve these objectives, a bibliographical research was carried out, in order to consider various aspects of the phenomenon investigated, through the use of theoretical exploratory research. From the theoretical references, it was possible to relate the concept of updating tendency and the existence of lesbians. In this way, the self-actualization emerges in the form of energy for the subject's perception as a lesbian, as well as the necessary strength to be able to live as such, even with the presence of the attempt to impose compulsory heterosexuality on her life, as well as the violence that accompanies it. As a result, it gained the importance of lesbian groups, more specifically the social movements of lesbian activism and resistance, as a possible means of relational encounter between the different existences of lesbianism, as well as its consideration as a potentiality, by establishing itself as a place of authenticity, welcoming, empathetic understanding, acceptance and perception of the potential of each existence. The possibility of qualitative studies using interviews is highlighted in order to analyze the presence of this understanding in the discourses of the lesbian subject.
