A violência no contexto escolar: ouvindo o professor de sala de aula

Abstract

The present research had as objective to investigate how the school has faced the issue of violence within the educational space. For this, we started with a historical approach to violence and its confrontation over the years within the school institutions, identifying actions taken to minimize the phenomenon. The behavior of the students, the positioning of the teachers and the school establishment, as well as the parents before the problematic, were verified, verifying the reflexes in the educational development of the students. The research was carried out with four elementary school teachers in the schools E.M.E.F. O.R.C and E.M.E.F A. in the Municipality of João Pessoa-PB. The approach used was qualitative, of an exploratory nature, besides the observation of the activities in the classroom. Through the analysis of the answers of the applied questionnaire, it was verified that violence, inside and outside the school space, and the actions related to this fact still travel distant paths of a collective and harmonic construction. Many are the facts pointed out as justification of existence and few actions to minimize it effectively, being more punctual than joint.
