Mulheres, direito e ensino : uma análise das ementas das disciplinas de gênero dos cursos de Direito das universidades federais da região nordeste (2019-2023)

Abstract

This research aims to verify the existence or non-existence of gender subjects in Law courses at federal universities in the northeast region by analyzing the contributions of feminisms in their syllabi in the period (2019-2023). From this scope, the research has a qualitative character and an inductive approach. As for the procedure used, it corresponds to an empirical research, whose research technique used is documentary (the syllabi of gender disciplines), and its data were examined using Bardin's Content Analysis. The research has four specific objectives, the first seeks to identify the first bachelor's degrees from Law Schools in the northeast region, describing their trajectories in the academic and legal sphere. The second specific objective aims to discuss women's inequalities in Law based on feminist theories and movements. The third objective is dedicated to defining legal education, curriculum and gender. The fourth objective is responsible for evaluating the contributions of feminisms in the syllabi of gender disciplines. Documentary research on the existence or non-existence of gender disciplines was carried out through the Integrated System of Management and Academic Activities of Federal Universities, institutional websites of Law courses, based on the examination of instruments such as Pedagogical Projects, list of disciplines offered in that period. Through documentary research, the research result found the existence of six gender disciplines, among which, two are inserted in specific branches of Law, while the other four disciplines found have a similar focus. Of the nine states in the northeast region, four have gender disciplines, located in different states. Among the seventeen Law campuses surveyed, four courses offered gender subjects, which corresponded to 23.5% (twenty-three and a half percent). As for the purpose of the research, it is exploratory in nature, as it aims to present possibilities and scenarios based on the results found. Thus, the contributions of feminist movements and studies can be observed through the contents of the syllabi of the disciplines found, through themes focused on women's rights, feminist legal theories, and the intersectional feminist approach.
