TRAMA – Anteprojeto de um centro cultural na cidade de João Pessoa - PB

Abstract

This Graduation Thesis (TCC), titled “TRAMA: Preliminary Design for a Cultural Center in the city of João Pessoa - Paraíba”

, has as its main objective to develop an architectural proposal that addresses the lack of an integrating and catalyzing cultural facility in the capital of Paraíba. The research initially addresses the cultural panorama of João Pessoa and the in-depth analysis of the implantation site, establishing the need for an intervention that connects

with the urban fabric and community life. The project methodology is based on a qualitative- quantitative approach, involving bibliographic research on the social function of Cultural

Centers, case studies of analogous projects, and the investigation of the local climatic and social conditions. The TRAMA concept guides the proposition, representing a network of poetic and functional connections between the various artistic expressions, people, and the surrounding environment. The architectural solution seeks to transcend the mere function of an activity container, adopting spatial flexibility and permeability as central guidelines to promote environmental comfort and the beauty of gathering. It is concluded that the preliminary design establishes itself as a new centrality, offering a space for permanence, reflection, and dynamism, where architecture becomes the support and the invitation for the celebration of culture and memory.
