dc.description.abstractThe study aimed to understand the school failure of the 1st to 8th year of elementary school in the teachers' eyes through a field survey, which used the questionnaire as a data collection instrument considering as subjects the teachers of the school municipal Moarcir Dantas. In this way, we tried to understand how and why school failure happens in their perspectives. The research is considered exploratory and descriptive, of the qualitative type worked the concept of capital of Pierre Bourdieu, for school failure. It is proposed to approach the theme, the need to broaden the field of discussion, adding and encouragind the participation of the different segments of the school, the school community and the academic environment in order to seek transtable paths to the topic: school failure.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoO estudo teve como objetivo compreender o fracasso escolar dos alunos do 1o ao 8o ano do Ensino Fundamental, no olhar dos docentes por meio de uma pesquisa de campo, a qual utilizou-se do questionário como instrumento de coleta de dados, considerando como sujeitos os professores, da Escola Municipal do Ensino Fundamental Moacir Dantas. Dessa forma, tentou-se entender como e porque o fracasso escolar acontece na perspectiva destes. A pesquisa é considerada exploratória e descritiva, do tipo qualitativa. Trabalhou-se o conceito de capital cultural de Pierre Bourdieu, para pensar o fracasso escolar. Propõe-se ao abordar a temática, a necessidade de ampliar o campo de discussão, agregando e fomentando a participação dos diferentes segmentos da escola, da comunidade escolar e do meio acadêmico no sentido de buscar caminhos transitáveis para o polêmico tema: fracasso escolar.pt_BR
