| Abstract: | Objective: To analyze the relationship between obstetric violence and women's autonomy in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Methods: This is a Scope Review that follows the criteria established by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). The search for articles was carried out independently by two researchers, following the selection criteria. The electronic databases searched were: Directory Of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO). Results: 135 articles were found, of which after screening, a total of 15 studies were included in the search. Conclusions: As a way to reduce obstetric violence, strategies used by health professionals were identified, which, directly or indirectly, were related to favoring the person's autonomy in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Humanized assistance associated with the possession of classified information, provided by health education/perinatal education, favor the woman's decision-making power during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle and, consequently, the control over her own body, allowing the woman's autonomy, her protagonism and subsequent decrease in obstetric violence |
