Ocorrência de traumas de face em mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica

Abstract

Purpose: Analyze the occurrence of facial trauma in women who are victims of domestic violence Method: This is a cross-sectional, exploratory and analytical study. Produced through the analysis of police reports (BO) at the Specialized Police Stations for Women (DEAM) in the capital of Paraíba, João Pessoa, in the first half of 2022. The outcomes studied were: information about the Occurrence, details of the Injuries suffered, Sociodemographic Profile of the Aggressor and the Victim. Results: A higher percentage of incidents are recorded in the South Zone, at night. Women who are victims of domestic violence have an average age of 32 years old and suffer more aggression in the facial region, especially the face. The aggressors are mostly men, with an average age of 36. Conclusion: A greater number of attacks committed by men were observed in the face region compared to other body regions.
