Análise descritiva dos migrantes de retorno no estado da Paraíba nos períodos entre 2005-2010

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the sociodemographic profile of migrants returning from Paraíba in the periods 2005-2010. For this, the data of the IBGE Demographic Census 2010 will be used, where the sample includes return migrants from Paraíba. With the variables defined, a descriptive analysis of the characteristics of the returnees was carried out, which presented as main results: (i) people with low or no level of education; (Ii) whites and browns; (Iii) low level of income; (Iv) single and married and having children. Therefore, it can be concluded from the results achieved that the search for better conditions in the big cities may be just an ideology created, since the profile of the returned people, most of them have conditions of low levels of schooling and income, which shows that Not always the search for better opportunities in big cities are guaranteed. Therefore, it is necessary to consider and create new structures for the impacts that both the receiving city and the place of origin will suffer in different spheres, because according to the profile described on the basis of the 2010 census data, the population will go through changes, Taking into account that the majority of returnees are at a slightly more advanced age and the proportion of young people has declined, leading to a change in the demographic structure of the receiving city.
