Abstract

This paper aims to show clearly and summarily the importance of Linear Algebra and in particular the theory of Matrices and Linear Systems to solve practical problems in several areas. We show that Linear Algebra theory particularly linear systems and matrices are extremely important in solving various problems that arise in several areas among them we can mention the areas of engineering, physics, mathematics, among other areas. We have shown examples of applications of linear systems in Leontief closed and open models in the area of Economics, in closed electric circuits (Kirchho 's Law) and in metallic structures construction projects. We are also concerned with bringing some de nitions, such as the de nition of arrays, the types of arrays we can nd, also some operations with arrays, among these operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication of matrices among other operations, and the way they help us in problem solving, as well as the theory and resolution of linear systems.
