Abstract

This Course Completion Work (TCC) seeks to analyze and investigate the work with the discipline of art in Early Childhood Education, as a possibility for children to get to know experience, develop and learn the various artistic manifestations according to their age group. In order to carry out this work, we adopted the bibliographic research methodology with the children of the Municipal School of Infant and Fundamental Education Santa Monica, in the city of Itaporanga, in the State of Paraíba, in order to know and identify how Art Education in Education And some persistent questions about the methodology used, the artistic languages worked by the children in the classroom, as well as the interaction between the children, the class and the teacher. The study also leads us to reflect on the role of the teacher in the construction of knowledge, the teacher / mediator in the expansion of ideas, giving better conditions to construct and reconstruct knowledge in a meaningful and functional way, according to the twelve criteria of mediation of Reuven Feuerstein et al. (1994), as well as the theoretical foundations of RCNEI (BRAZIL, 1998), PCN (BRASIL, 1998) and the researchers Figueiredo and Souza (2010), Bodgan and Biklen (1994), Ludke and André ), Mello (1987) Ferraz and Fusari (2009), Schlichta and Tavares (2004), Barbosa (1989).
