Abstract

The games are important because they are part of the world of children and provide intellectual development. This paper discusses the theme of playfulness in early childhood education in a clear and objective manner through information obtained from literature sources. The objective of this study was to investigate the benefits of play during the period of early childhood education for the intellectual and social development of children, pointing to the play as something essential for the maturation of the thoughts and attitudes of children. A literature survey was used to achieve the objective of this work through the readings obtained verified the relevance of playfulness to the intellectual development of the child. Given that early childhood education is an indispensable stage in which the child discovers and creates his own world , where the play is fundamental to the development of identity and autonomy of the child , the need to play is always present in our lives because it is through him that we see as in the development of a child.
