Título: Análise do programa de aquisição de alimentos (paa) na comunidade negra de Camará

Abstract: Family farming is considered an extremely important sector for a country’s domestic supply, and also for the income of thousands of Brazilians. However, that kind of farming has faced many difficulties in relation to market accessibility, as the less fortunate farmers have had problems to sell their products. The Food Acquisition Program (FAP) is one of the actions executed by Zero Hunger Program. It aims at ensuring people to have access to food, and also help the farmers to sell their products from family farming. Thereby, the farmers are helped to face difficulties related to production trading, as well as are able to increase their incomes. Considering all presented, this study aims at analyzing the FAP in a community called Negra de Camará, where fifteen families are taking part in the program, in the Purchase to Simultaneous Donation modality, whose responsible is The National Food Supply Company. Such a community, as well as other rural ones in Paraíba, needs assistance and encouragement to achieve improvements. In order to collect data, it was applied a semi-structured questionnaire. Based on collected data, it can be said that the program seeks to distribute and to raise the income of farmers, and also it aims at encouraging production for it allows regular trading and improvements concerning the quality of agricultural products. In relation to production scale, there was a positive influence of FAP, as area and volume production both raised. Concerning production planning, the farmers, helped by the program, started to plan and make registers about all delivered production. It was observed trading difficulties of FAP, in the following areas: transportation, financial resources delay, and low price of some products. Yet, there were positive aspects, such as the sale of products was assured and farmers seemed to have autonomy. Such observations allow us to say that FAP has contributed to social inclusion by increasing farmers’ income.
