| Resumo: | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo estabelecer uma breve abordagem histórica sobre a Trigonometria, desde a antiguidade até os dias atuais, e investigar o conhecimento dos alunos do 3º ano Médio acerca da história da Trigonometria no município de Itaporanga-PB. Para o referencial teórico baseamos em autores como Boyer (1996), Mol(2013), e entre outros autores que retratam o tema. Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida por meio de uma investigação bibliográfica, destacando a importância da história da Matemática, partindo das antigas civilizações, as contribuições de alguns matemáticos gregos, a Trigonometria na Idade Média com os Hindus e os árabes, até os dias atuais na forma analítica. A metodologia de pesquisa é uma abordagem da análise qualitativa, onde foi desenvolvida como parte principal a elaboração e a aplicação de um questionário com o intuito de investigar o conhecimento dos alunos sobre a história da Trigonometria. A análise dos dados coletados pelo questionário, de certa forma, mostrouque grande parte dos alunos ao longo de sua vida escolar nunca ouviu falar da história da Trigonometria, e a minoria que relataram ter ouvido falar não souberam comentar. |
| Abstract: | This study aims to establish a brief historical approach to trigonometry, approaching from antiquity to the present day, and investigate the knowledge of students in the 3rd year East about the history of trigonometry in the municipality of Itaporanga-PB. For the theoretical framework we rely on authors as Boyer (1996), Mol (2013), and among other authors that depict the theme. This research was developed through a bibliographic research, highlighting the importance of the history of mathematics, based on the ancient civilizations, the contributions of some Greek mathematicians, trigonometry in the middle Ages with the Hindus and Arabs, to the present day in analytically. The research methodology is an approach of qualitative analysis, which was developed as the main part of the development and application of a questionnaire in order to investigate the students' knowledge of the history of trigonometry. The analysis of data collected by the questionnaire, in a way, showed that most of the students throughout their school life never heard the story of Trigonometry, and the minority who reported having heard were unable to comment. |
